Welcome to the Journal

Hi, friends! Welcome to the new studio journal here at meghanlambert.com. Over the past couple of weeks a lot has changed on the site and it felt like the right time to dive in to creating a space for more in depth look at my creative process, the design work that comes of it, and overall creative living.

Branding and Web Design by Meghan Lambert

So Why the Site Overhaul?

I did a lot of hard thinking about the image I wanted to project. While the site was perfectly fine before, it felt a little bit clunky and didn't quite capture the refined, intentional, custom branding experience I offer. There's a section in the beginning of the book "How to Badass Your Brand" about taking your own medicine — and this is what I did. I took a step back and assessed what my site was saying — and made adjustments it to better speak to the people I want to be talking to. This included a change in overall tone (warm instead of stark) and a deeper look at portfolio projects that shows the brands and websites at work.

An Evolved Process

One of the biggest changes that happened on the site was creating clarity around the services I provide for businesses and the steps I take to get to the successful end result. Over the past year I've started incorporating a rigorous discovery process to the beginning of each branding and web project and the results have been life-changing. I wanted my service pages to be clear that this studio doesn't "just make logos" we do the hard work up-front to be sure we're creating a brand that resonates with the target audience. My new studio motto? Design with purpose.

The Journal's Purpose

I already have a long list of post ideas for this place — a good indicator that the time is right! I plan on talking about what inspires me, sharing new work, giving previews into ongoing projects, and small peeks into my personal life. The hope is to round out who I am as a designer so you can get to know me and how I work.

I'm thrilled to be sharing here, with you. I hope you'll follow along!
